Here’s a Teriyaki Chicken Recipe that can easily be made in any home. A local Japanese favorite, Teriyaki simply means soaking or marinading in a soy sauce mixture.

This marinade can be used for chicken or meat dishes. Very tasty over hot rice.

Teriyaki Chicken (Bake or Grill)
Cuisine: Japanese Local Style
  • 3 pounds of chicken (thighs & drums)
  • Marinade
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • ¼ teaspoon dry mustard
  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 inch piece ginger, grated
  • ½ teaspoon Hawaiian salt
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  1. Place chicken in bowl, combine marinade ingredients in a separate bowl and mix well. Pour over chicken and refrigerate overnight.
  2. Line shallow baking pan with foil and lightly grease. Place chicken on pan and discard marinade. Bake at 325 degrees for about 45 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
