Simple Shoyu Chicken Recipe
Cuisine: Local Style
- 5 pounds chicken thighs
- 2 cups Aloha shoyu (soy sauce)
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 piece ginger, crushed
- Bring shoyu, water, sugar and ginger to a boil.
- Add chicken and simmer for about an hour or until chicken is nice and tender.
If desired, you can make a cornstarch slurry to thicken sauce.
